I am offended at my own self that it took me nearly 4 years of living in North Park to discover this place - more specifically, to discover the best tortilla soup I've ever tasted in my whole life. Oh my god. Absolutely delicious. Perfect portion size as I wasn't starving, but wanted something relatively substantial. Perfect, reasonable price of $10. Perfect number of tortilla chips. An added bonus is that it is so full of a variety of veggies & thus very healthy but does not taste like it's too healthy. This is the kind of soup I will be coming back to have alone so I can fully immerse myself in enjoying it without having to converse with anyone else. 1000/10, so scrumptious. Paired it with a side of buttered cinnamon bread and found myself ascending up to the seat at the right hand of the Father. Service was quick - 4 of us got there around 10:30a on a Saturday and were seated within 15 min. Our server Cesar was friendly & told us a funny story. See you guys soon!

Amazing breakfast spot. I found this off of Yelp reviews a few years ago and every time my family and I come to San Diego we always visit this spot for breakfast. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, we've had conversations with many of them and they're open to talking. The menu is very extensive and everything we've tried has always been delicious. The decor of the restaurant is nice and presentation is perfect

We went to one of our favorite places for breakfast this morning, the mission in North Park on University Avenue. There is street parking, but we parked at the Laz Parking Lot half a block away. It's super easy to get to. The services always good. We had the chicken sausage frittata, ABC omelette and Mission Breakfast. All was so good. The ambiance is nice, you can sit at a table, booth, or stool at the counter. The burritos are good too. I will try the Loco Moco next time.

Arrived early on a weekday. Happy with the delicious food and grateful for such amazing service. Reminded me of new town/updated diner vibes.

Delicious food, amazing service and street parking is easy to find. The Mission feels like an old-fashioned diner. There's a large number of gluten-free options. I love the Mission Rosemary which consists of rosemary potatoes, eggs and rosemary bread. There's plenty of seating and a patio too. Definitely recommend coming here!

Ambiance was really great. The place was bustling. Lots of laughter and positive energy. The AC was blasting so it was pretty cold but I much prefer that to it being hot. Service was quick and deliberate. I could tell the place was busy for a few hours at that point. I appreciated any time the waitstaff asked if I needed anything. Overall my experience was positive. I think the burrito wasn't my favorite as it seemed to lack flavor, but I had no complaints about the quantity of food nor the temperature -- it came out piping hot. Reddit, Google, and Yelp all have wonderful things to say about The Mission, so I look forward to coming back and hopefully having a better food experience!

Surprisingly the wait wasn't horrible and the workers were very quick to bring water cups and take our order. The space was decently sized and was pretty packed with folks eating (it was also pride weekend). It is pretty noisy so if you're not talking loud enough, the person you're talking to might not hear you. Had a party of 5 ordering food. Everything came out about the same time, which was nicely timed. I ordered the sweet Hawaiian Portuguese linguica with rice and eggs. Tasted great, and I ate pretty much the whole plate minus the brioche toast. Would've preferred a fruit accompaniment rather than more bread. Would absolutely come back again to try something else on their menu, seeing the other plates of food my friends ordered.
